Conscious Conversations Starts Today!
Happy Thursday to you –
Bobby Fischer, the brilliant, controversial chess master died last week.
Reading his obituary in The New York Times (Jan, 18th, 2008), Fischer had an IQ of 181 and an equally over-sized personality.
The article compares Mr. Fischer to Babe Ruth or Michael Jordan — a figure with so much greatness and flair that he's credited with bringing chess out of the shadows and into the mainstream.
So what was Mr. Fischer's self-proclaimed formula for success?
"Practice! Study! Talent!"
Obviously, Mr. Fischer had innate talent for thinking in a strategic manner that set him apart from most people. However, like any one who truly stands atop their chosen field, "he buttressed his penchant for original thinking with monumental study".
So just a reminder… If you truly want to be great, just wishing, wanting, or intending will not make it so. No matter what your talent level, you need to practice and study to rise above mediocrity.
While this a fundamental premise of success, you'd be amazed how often we overlook this truth as we get absorbed in the routines of our daily life.
I mention this because later today (11AM EST) my new program, Conscious Conversations, begins. In my experience, if you want to be great, you need to study and practice what it means to be great.
These gatherings are an opportunity for you to put yourself in an environment that fosters this kind of thinking on a regular basis.
Practice.
It's simple. But essential.
So far, we have people registered from all corners of the globe (wait a minute, globes don't have corners, do they?).
The fee is $40 per month. You can join or leave at any time. All calls are recorded if you cannot attend in real time.

It'll be cool, informative, and fun. Promise.
Best,
Drew
