“Everyone, everywhere is helping me. Always.”
These are words I assert because they feel good to so.
I try to remember them when I get caught up in something, and when I do, I usually notice an immediate sense of relief.
I don’t have to know WHY a situation I don’t particularly like occurred.
I don’t have to know every step HOW to get from where I am to where I’d rather be.
My job is to identify what it is that I desire, and to assert that this is my reality.
(Some call this delusion, but I’m not too concerned about those folks.)
“Everyone, everywhere is helping me. Always.”
Even the people I don’t like. Even the situations I don’t like.
For the very things I do not like gives birth to an unparalleled sense of CLARITY and FOCUS on what I desire.
Clarity rules.
Do you know what happens when I assert that, “Everyone, everywhere is helping me. Always.” ?
The same thing that happens when you assert anything… It becomes true.
You’ll simply have to practice with it to fully know what I mean, but I think it’s a totally fun and worthwhile thing to do.
Here’s something fun I noticed…
In February, my book sales started to climb (they tripled). I knew something had happened, but I did not know what, exactly (did someone post a review or link somewhere?).
All I knew is that Everyone, everywhere is helping me. Always.
And I knew that more people were buying my book than ever before because I’d focused my thoughts (not my actions) on selling more books.
Simple as that.
To me the story of HOW this was happening might be interesting, but not particularly relevant.
The other day I sat at our kitchen table eating lunch, flipping through Karin’s Oprah magazine.
And there it was.
Dr. Phil had a full-page ad for his new book, The Life Code. My book is The Very Cool Life Code.
I suspect people search for his book, see mine, and take a chance. Of course, something entirely different might be happening, but when I saw the ad, I had a sense of knowing.
Now, I don’t know much about Dr. Phil, but I certainly know who he is and have seen him do his thing on occasion.
I can’t say I resonate with his approach very much. Or like him very much.
But that’s irrelevant.
Because everyone, everywhere is helping me. Always.
Dr. Phil, I hope your book sells a gazillion copies.
And thanks for your help…
I like the way you write about yourself in the third person.

Drew, One of the (many) reasons that I love your articles is that they never turn out to be about what I thought they would be about based on the title!

thanks, Clare… that aspect entertains me as well. 🙂

That’s a good story. I have a big presentation today so I’m going to remember that, that they’re helping me…right? 🙂 Have a good day, – Bill
Everyone. Everywhere. Always.
Knock ’em dead kid.
Oh Drew – as soon as my eyes read the words my heart fell in love with this mantra. I’ve been repeating it to my 5 month old (who seems to appreciate it too) and it’s already working on my vibration like a charm. So far I am getting all my favourite flowers planted by the gardener for our communal garden at no cost or charge to me whatever ( I told our building committee chairman that I would like to get a few plants I liked for the garden and she said, don’t worry I’ll get the gardener to do it – what flowers do you want?) I’ve found a source of interns (I’ve been looking for 2 years…) and a friend with expertise in community building has appeared as if by magic to help me with my community building project because I realised (yesterday) I needed someone. Definitely the coolest mantra ever. Deeply appreciated.
