We went to a concert last night and saw one of my favorite bands, 311 (three-eleven). Great show as always. Positive, high energy stuff.
Karin and I met another couple before the show, a friend of mine from my basketball league and his lovely wife. The show was in an amphitheatre and Karin and I had great seats inside, about 15 rows back. Tony and Nadia could not really see that much from their seats and my intention was to share the evening with them.
Minutes after the show began, the four people right next to us left. I could just tell they were not coming back. I spotted Tony and Nadia and waved them down to our choice location.
And together we enjoyed the show for the next ninety minutes. Cool.
In the wake of The Secret, the law of attraction is sold to us as being about manifesting stuff (any one else weary of this?) Big stuff. Houses, cars, acres of gold bullion. While I like all that stuff too, I think it misses the point about what living an attractive life is all about.
For me, sharing great seats with friends, finding the perfect parking spot, and sure, getting an unexpected check in the mail better reflects the true fabric of living into this awareness. It’s about creating/noticing the cool little things that come together in everyday life, not about looking for the ultimate score like Ralph Kramden and Ed Norton.
When you live in the place of creation and appreciation of the small things, I believe the bigger things naturally follow.
I also think most people are clueless about this.
But that will change, too…
Keep an eye on my Very Cool Life Network, please. I want everybody to experience the coolest life possible and I know I have lots to share in this regard.
And just for fun, I thought I’d test out this new jukebox thingy I found on another blog… Some summer songs I like…
Drew,
I agree, it is about the little things. For me it is often about getting a great parking spot or having someone call me, etc. I agree with you, appreciation of the little things we attract leads to the bigger things being attracted.
