A hypothetical, if you will.
No right or wrong answers…
Just personal preferences.
So please let me know what you choose. Feel free to use the regular comments or the Facebook comments to elaborate.
And please use the poll I set up on the right side of the page to record your preference.
Okay, here’s the situation…
– Door Number 1
1) Think about how much money you’d like to make in the next year’s time.
Your guideline would be to choose a “very cool” amount. Just imagine.
I’d define this that you have plenty to live very comfortably, feel really good about yourself, and have a lot of fun. (I would guess that most people would choose to double their current income, but it’s up to you. Just imagine a number.)
2) Write this figure down.
3) Here’s the good news in this scenario!
Now imagine that in order to earn that money, you only have to work 4 days a week, regular business hours.
Pretty cool, huh?
– Okay, Here’s Door Number 2
Here’s your choice…
You can take Door Number 1 right now and walk away with all that scratch for 4 days a week…
OR
If you choose to work just one more day a week, you’ll make time and a half (overtime) for that fifth day.
1) To calculate this, (if I did the math properly), take the amount you chose for Door #1 and multiply it by 1.375.
2) Write this figure down.
This is your Door #2 offer, for five days of work instead of four.
(So, let’s say you choose to make $200,000 in Door #1. Under Door #2, the offer would be ($200K x 1.375 = $275K).
Rules
1) Let’s say that you are guaranteed the money your chose in Door #1 for at least the next Five (5) years.
2) Knowing Rule #1, you may NOT go back and change what you chose for Door #1.
So, Sophie…
Time to choose…
Do you choose Door #1 and work the 4 days a week.
Or Door #2? You work and extra day, but make 1.5 on Day 5!
