Yesterday I wrote about how the Obama administration eliminated the phrase “War on Terror.”

While I think this is wonderful news for those of us who believe that a mindset of war creates more war, I read a quote today that shows me that not everyone is ready to make such a leap:

“Whoever thinks that he will achieve something by way of concessions, no, he will only invite more pressure and more wars. If you want peace, prepare for war.”

I’m no foreign minister, but I’m pretty sure this strategy has not worked for the past few centuries in the Middle East.

And while I do not have crystal ball, with this mindset, I bet I can tell you how this story plays out.
