The Power of Portals

July 9, 2009 drewrozell

As we move into the heart of summer with warmer weather and longer days, I feel pulled to get outside and to have some new adventures. I am an explorer by nature I need a healthy dose of discovery and adventure in my life to be at my best.

Lately, I’ve been fantasizing about loading the kayak onto my truck and escaping to a remote lake for a few days. However, just as my thoughts would reach a frenzy of freedom, another thought would enter my mind, stopping me cold.

“Well, I don’t want to drive the truck that far…”

Through the years, my truck has taken me to some wonderfully remote places – places that no car would dare to enter. It’s taken me on a road trip across the United States, allowing me to sleep in the back and wake up on an old logging road in South Dakota or in a field in Montana.

Locally, it’s allowed me to transport my boats so I could explore the beautiful rivers and lakes that surround me. In the winter, no matter what the road conditions, I felt free to head to the mountains for a day of skiing. I knew my truck would transport me safely.

My truck has allowed me to play the hero many times. One night I was able to rescue my wife when her vehicle would take her no further during a nasty blizzard. Without my truck, I would have been powerless to help her. And I have seen many smiles of relief from people I have pulled out of ditches.

No question, my truck has been a wonderful vehicle, providing me with many great memories. While I still love the beast, there is no denying that time and rust had caught up with her. Like an old dog, she remains faithful, but prefers not to stray too far from home these days. However, with each passing summer day, my itch to get out and explore has grown stronger.

Several weeks ago, I started eyeing the other vehicles on the road, waiting to notice what evoked that primal growl within me. The answer came quickly: the Toyota 4Runner. Soon I found myself at the dealer taking a test drive. As I sank into the leather seats, I was sold before putting the key into the ignition.

As my friend Jon sat in my new truck, I told him of all my plans and the places I wanted to visit. At the time, even though I was thrilled with my truck, I suppose I was still trying to rationalize my purchase (4Runners are not cheap). After listening to me, Jon’s response struck me.

“Vehicles are important. They transport you, literally. They serve as portals that hold the power to open you up to new worlds,” he said.

I had never thought of it that way.

Jon talked more about the importance of portals, about noticing the vehicles that allow us to move through our lives and see new things. An excellent photographer, Jon mentioned how he spends thousands of dollars on new camera lenses. While they were expensive, the news lenses allow him to see the world from a new perspective.

Because Jon makes his living by sharing his creativity with the world, his lenses were the portals that allowed his best self to shine through to the world. In turn, the energy he puts out returns to him, allowing abundance to flow back into his life.

I found myself nodding as Jon spoke. I know my truck will transport me to new worlds. It will allow me to move freely and explore the places where I feel most alive. I feel great every time I step up into the cabin.

Recognize the portals in your life and allow yourself to step into them. Remember, portals are investments that pay dividends, not expenses.

AN OFFER TO CONSIDER…

While I use this space to promote myself and my work, I rarely use it to promote other people’s programs. For me to do that, I have to *really* believe in what I’m sharing.

Well, right now I have something to share with you that I really believe in.

Actually, it’s  couple — David and Kristen Morelli.

I had never heard of David and Kristen before, but I kept seeing their name get passed around in the law of attraction circles I travel in. They had a free call (something I rarely participate in), and yet I felt compelled to listen to what they had to offer as their work centers on the very same thing I am interested in — prosperity, freedom, energy, and the law of attraction.

After listening to them for a few minutes, I knew that David and Kristen knew what they were talking about. And I wanted more of what they had to offer. In fact, I spent $1700 to be part of their group coaching program.

It was worth every penny.

The investment has paid off many times already.

And yes, I think my experience working with David and Kristen had a lot to do with the shiny truck in my driveway.

So here’s the deal…

David and Kristen are creating a new program for people interested in creating more wealth, freedom, and abundance in their lives (less that $100). To kick things off, they are holding a free call tonight where you can experience their energy and hear their message for yourself.

Because my experience with David and Kristen was so positive, I find it easy to promote them.

If you feel like you’d like to learn more, just go here to listen to their invitation and to get the details.

They are up to something great…
